Weekend Fun

So we spent probably the entire weekend up at my parents house, so Wyatt could play in the sun and I could relax in the shade with Max.   It was a really good weekend, it would have been better if Shane didn't spend the entire weekend working up at Windell's, but atleast he got paid and I can't complain about him making extra money.
We finally started fixing up our backyard, so I went to Babies R Us and bought Wyatt a little water table to play with.  But since our backyard isn't done yet, we took it up to Ah-Ma (what Wyatt calls Grandma) and Papa's and he had a lot of fun playing with that.

Meanwhile,  I got to work on my tan alittle bit, and read some magazines in the wonderful sunshine and Max did what he does best.....Sleep.

I thoroughly enjoy sitting there and looking at both of my boys, and thinking about just how lucky I am.  I have two adorable, healthy boys that love me so much, that are going to grow up together and hopefully be best friends.  I couldn't be happier at this point in my life.  Yeah, I'm a little exhausted from being up at night with Max and then taking care of the two of them during the day without getting a chance to nap.  And Wyatt is definitely going through his terrible two's,  which only got worse when my full attention was taken away from him, due to me now having to take care of Max.   And my breastfeeding experience with Max has been way different and far more difficult than it was with Wyatt, but I still think I am the luckiest person in the world right now.  I can't imagine my life without either of my boys, and I am going to do the best I can to give them both my all when it comes to raising them and teaching them everything they need to know.
Anyways, sorry to go on a little tangent about how much I love my boys.   We had an awesome weekend in the sun, and I hope it stays sunny for awhile.  It just puts everyone in a better mood when the weather is nice.   Here's a few more pictures of Wyatt playing up at Papa's.

Little Baby Max

So things have been a little crazy around here during the past week.  Max Parker Mckenzie was born at 3:05 am on friday May 1st.  He was 7 pounds and 14 ounces and 20.5 inches long.  Labor went pretty good, besides me losing a lot of blood and almost blacking out about five times which was a little scary.  Max came out with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck once and he was a little blue, but he came out with his eyes open and it was amazing to hear his first cry.
We got discharged on Saturday afternoon, but Max's jaundice levels were a little high, so we had to bring him back to the hospital the next day to get them checked again.  That was a hellish experience because we sat in the waiting room at urgent care for over three hours before they finally pulled us into a room only to tell us that the levels weren't high enough to do anything about but we needed to have them checked again in 48 hours.
Then I had to drive all the way back to Mt Scott on Monday for his Mother-Baby appointment which went really good.  He had already gained weight and was up to 8 pounds and 1 ounce and after i fed him, she weighed him again and he had gained two more ounces.  So basically my little guy was already a cow.
The next day (Tuesday) I had to bring him into Rockwood to have his levels checked again.  I brought him by the pharmacy where i work so i could show him off.  Then we were off to the lab to have more blood drawn, which was another hellish experience, being that the guy who took his blood acted like he had never done that from an infant before.
Yesterday (Thursday), Max had his first photo shoot.  A girl I met on Craigslist came over and took a whole bunch of newborn pictures of him.  I can't wait to see how they turned out.  I'll post them later.  But here are a few pictures of new baby max.
